Simple yet effective Ways to Get Ready for a Swimsuit Season

Summer is around the corner, and you are well aware that there is no escaping the long-awaited Bikini season. Sooner enough people will get to know how you spent your winter and that is the last thing you want. Don’t sweat it. There are many people out there who are more insecure than you are and hope that a bikini season would wait a little bit longer.

If biking season has come fast for you, there are many ways you can peel off that winter nightmare and join other bikini queens on the beach. All you are required to do is, get off the couch and start moving. Keep in mind; if you’ve gained much weight, it will be hard to lose more pounds.

This post has covered a few exercises that will help prepare your body for a Swimsuit season much faster.

How to exercise

Work on your butt and thighs

The quickest way to tone your butt and thighs is to perform your normal squats. When performing squats, ensure your feet are flat on the floor and hip-width apart. Your knees should be bent 90 degrees over your ankles. Straighten your back and squeeze your abdominal muscles. If you are not experiencing any effect, increase the intensity by adding some dumbbells. But keep in mind; overdoing it will build muscle. Aim for approximately, three sets of 10 reps.

Get rid of flabby arms

If winter was all about eating like a queen, it is likely, your arms have lost their tone. If that is your case, don’t sweat it. I would suggest that you start with Pilates boxing, reverse fly Triceps kickback, then proceed to lighter dumbbells workouts. Here is what you will do.

  • Pilates boxing

Stand straight and widen your feet approximately, 10 centimeters apart. Slightly bend your knees and keep both your elbows up. While squeezing your abs, throw a punch using your left arm. Repeat for your right arm. Punch several times until you are tired. Aim for three sets of 20 punches.

  • Triceps Kick Back

Kneel on the bench with your left foot on the floor and the right knee on the bench. Take a dumbbell on your left hand. Ensure your upper arm is parallel to your upper body. At this position, kick the weight behind you. Do the same with your right arm.

  • Reverse fly while bent over

Take two dumbbells in both hands and bend forward without arching your back. Slightly bend your knees. You can move your elbow outwards. While doing this, ensure that the palms are facing your body. Bring your elbows down and repeat aiming for approximately, two sets of 10 reps.

Work on your core

It is not easy to walk along the beach with a potty stomach. You need well-toned abs as well as back. If you can’t find time to attend a fitness gym, try Pilates. Get on to the floor and on your back. Lift both your arms as well as legs off the floor. If you are doing this exercise for the first time, bend your knees, but ensure your hands are straight on the floor. If it is easy, try straightening your legs. Raise both your arms and legs and then hold the position for some few seconds and then release Repeat the same procedure aiming for three reps. This exercise will help tighten your abdominal muscles as well as tone your back.

How to eat

It doesn’t matter how hungry you are. If you want to shine during a Bikini season, you must work on your diet. Here is what you will do

Choose the right salad

If you are often hungry, you will need something that will fill you up preventing you from eating more. But keep in mind, not all salads have low calories. So, be choosy a little bit. I would suggest that you choose healthy vegetables such as peppers or spinach.

Include more protein in your diet

Proteins are known to slow down digestion. They will make you feel full preventing you from eating more. As a result, you will be more satisfied with small amounts of calories. But keep in mind, just like salads, not all proteins you choose will work. I would suggest that you go for white meat and more.

Reduce calorie intake

You already know what you are fighting. So, you don’t need to increase it. However, you should not forget that your body requires some amount of calories to survive. I would suggest that you skip fries and eat some healthy low-calorie fruit. Avoid carbohydrates such as white pasta, rice and more.

Additional tips

  • Drink a lot of water – Keeping your body hydrated at all times will help improve your metabolism making it easy for your body to get rid of excess fat.
  • Avoid processed, and canned food – Processed food contain a lot of calories and sugar which will only add to your weight. They also contain a lot of salt that might cause bloating.
  • Reduce alcohol intake – Alcohols contain a lot of calories. So, try cutting back. If you are fond of taking a glass before you go to sleep, you can try avoiding it at least two days a week.
